Biography
Dr. Stephen Kerr, M.D. is certified through the American Board of Medical Examiners and is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and completed his Surgical Residency at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine.
He has worked extensively in many aspects of surgery over his 20+ year career including bariatric surgery, laparoscopic/minimally invasive surgery, acute care surgery and trauma surgery. He is a US army veteran who served as a trauma surgeon in Kandahar, Afghanistan in 2003. He has a strong belief in evidence-based practice and strives to provide the highest quality of care possible to his patients.
He is also a medical device and product developer with three published patents and has recently published a book on product development. In his time off he enjoys surfing, snowboarding and yoga.
